According to prime minister Abiy Ahmed several civilians were killed in an attack by OLF Shene militants in the area known as Village 20 (Hawa Gelen Woreda, Kelem Welega Zone; Residents of the Lena Kebele)

An unnamed source told us that an unknown number of innocent people were killed in today’s terrorist attack. They also told us that many children and mothers were killed in the attack.

Residents also said that due to the large size of the terrorist group, local security forces were unable to enter the area until more troops arrived.
