Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Early warning program officer provides a technical oversight of the early warning component of the complex humanitarian programming of Ethiopia country office. This person will work with staff from all field office where humanitarian programs are implemented and support them to 1) collect and analyze Woreda-level early warning information on slow and fast-onset emergencies; 2) provide recommendations to respond to EW data (i.e. notify humanitarian director and senior management, conduct joint GOE/partner assessment, flag potential caseload increases/decreases, etc); and 3) ensure dissemination of data and coordination with other actors.
