#Ethiopia News: Gunmen who storm a local Church kill 29 in #Horoguduru, western #Oromia
Of the victims, 21 were women, including those carrying babies, who were taken to a nearby forest before being killed. Hussein was among the men who went to the forest to recover the bodies on Sunday March 06. He said that the bodies of three of the women were found with their babies staying besides them. One among the women was released according to eyewitnesses, and she is quoted as saying she escaped rape by telling her abductors that she was HIV/AIDS positive.

#Ethiopia:#Oromia regional state admitted the killing of peaceful civilians in #Guliso Wereda, Gawwa Qanqa kebele yesterday & blamed rebel groups of #Oromo Liberation Army (#OLA). Reports coming out indicate the victims are members of the #Amhara community.
The statement said the civilians were killed “in one place” in west #Wollega zone of Oromia regional state. It didn’t provide the exact details, but also blamed #TPLF as conspiring with OLA rebel group. Various reports indicate the killing happened after federal army evacuated the area. Ethiopia News: Military, police disperse crowds in #BahirDar after authorities disallowed opposition rally
Miseganaw, a resident of the city who asked to be quoted by his first name only, said: “we have been at Papyrus roundabout since 6:30 AM; as the number of participants increased we started chanting our slogans out loud. When we shifted to the road leading to Saint George, we were met with heavy police presence and we were forcefully dispersed.’’ According to him, security forces, especially members of the riot-control squad of the regional special police, used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowd.
