Job Overview:

The Driver main responsibilities includes safe transportation of IRC personnel and IRC materials and care and maintenance of IRC vehicles and their accessories.
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Driver provide transport services for IRC business under Adama field office project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Strict adhere to the IRC’s vehicle policies and procedures, including the use of seatbelts by all passengers.
Daily and pre-long distance vehicle checks. Accurate upkeep of the vehicle’s log sheet.
Maintaining the vehicle clean, fueled and mechanically sound.
Inspecting and maintaining all vehicle accessories.
Advising the SC manager of pending inspections, insurance renewal or any defects or problems.
Documents all fuel and other expenditure regularly and properly.
Reports promptly to the Supply Chain officer losses, malfunctions or accidents in writing immediately events occur.
Keeps vehicles clean and make minor mechanical services as required.
Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
TVET Diploma or High School graduate with 3rd Grade Valid Driving License.
Minimum driving experiences of 3 years for TVET Diploma and 4 years for High School graduate.
NGO experience is a plus.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate in English, Amharic, and Afaan Oromo languages.
Thorough knowledge of road rules and regulations.
Skills in routine vehicle maintenance and minor repair.
Good team spirit, attitude, behavior, and problem-solving abilities.
Able to carry out limited, un-supervised tasks.

Job Summary: Hygiene Promotion Assistant is responsible to support the implementation of rapid emergency response of hygiene and sanitation promotion and water supply activities by using appropriate hygiene promotion approaches, with required standard and principles, and level of participation. The position holder is also responsible for beneficiary selection & verification, community mobilization, proper management resources under the project and reporting periodically to Emergency Rapid Response Officer.
Major Responsibilities:
Conduct different hygiene & sanitation promotion and health educations on different community meetings by using different hygiene promotion approaches
Ensure the proper dissemination of hygiene and sanitation messages to the community at grass root level.
Organize community level hygiene awareness campaigns and prevention of transmitted disease.
Organize training for community representatives on Hygiene and sanitation and transmitted disease.
Assist the preparation of IEC Materials and monitor the distribution of IEC materials to be used at community level.
Work on building of the capacity of woreda partners and HEWs on WASH emergency promotion, NFI distributions and other health educations.
Ensure the proper distribution of Non Food Items and IEC Materials.
Conduct regular post distribution monitoring and periodic post distribution survey of the NFI at house hold level.
Produces activity progress reports as per the preset reporting schedule and submit to the supervisor.
Prepare brief emergency related monthly updates and submit to the supervisor.
Closely work with kebele HEWs and woreda water offices for basic emergency hygiene promotion activities
Conduct different review meetings with woreda partners, HEWs and community representatives on progress of the hygiene promotion activities and beneficiary compliance and feedback management systems.
Assists detail Hygiene and Sanitation need assessments.
Works closely with Woreda Water and Health Offices towards efficient and effective implementation of the response and emergency hygiene promotion activities
Works in collaboration with other IRC staff, government partners & key stakeholder.
Takes additional works as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education: BSc Degree/Diploma in Environmental Health..

Work Experience: Minimum experience of 1 year experience for BSc holders and 3 years’ experience for Diploma holders. NGO experience is plus.

Position overview
The MEAL Assistant is part of the M&E department and will work closely with the field based M&E Officer and CR Officer based in Addis Ababa. The MEAL Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of robust client feedback channels at their respective locations. These may include design and administration of surveys, focus group discussions, proactive and reactive feedback mechanisms. The MEAL Assistant will be responsible for aggregating client feedback, identifying key themes and challenges or opportunities to respond to, and presenting these to the management team for a decision on how to respond. The MEAL Assistant will also be responsible for recording and monitoring feedback, and for ensuring that the loop is closed, an clients are informed of decisions taken.
Specific Responsibilities:

Feedback Planning and Implementation:
• Collect client feedback through various channels that IRC installs including community meetings, surveys, discussions, phone lines, suggestion boxes, SMS among others.
• Regularly update the excel based Feedback Registry on every day basis and raise cases including breach of IRC code of conduct, allegations of child abuse or sexual exploitation and other major programmatic complaints.
• Receive, record and classify complaints for attention by the MEAL Officer and refer to the respective sectors.
• Collect response from the program staff on the feedback and communicate back to client
• Facilitate the preparation of CRA logistics before field visits e.g. paper based data collection tools, promotional materials etc.
• Ensure accurate and confidential filing of CRA reporting forms such as client feedback form, Feedback Registry, surveys, interview, minutes from community meetings, reports, datasets among others
• Generate reports on the implementation and use of feedback channels, per sector, including limitations and challenges.
Feedback Monitoring, Reporting, and Response:
• Aggregate and dis-aggregate client feedback (according to gender, age, status, sector, risk-level and other client appropriate dis-aggregation).
• Present statistics on feedback received and feedback content in clear formats to highlight feedback trends to the program team, as well as synthesize qualitative feedback in ways which provide the detail that the program team will need to design an appropriate response.
• Analyze key themes, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement.
Others
Provide support to the M&E Office to conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs
Qualifications
Requirements:
BA degree or Diploma/Level IV in social science and other relevant field of studies
1 year work experience for BA Degree and 3 years work experience for Diploma holders
Analyze and communicate data in a way that facilitates effective decision making
Proactively engage with clients and community members, acting as a community liaison focal point
Driven and able to balance multiple task, commitments, and to work flexibly in a team
Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm, and the ability to develop and test new ways of working and solutions to problems
Strong oral and written communications in local language and Amharic is required.
Desirable:
Working experience with refugees and/or IDPs, and an understanding of the feedback channels preferred by displaced people
Experience in implementing feedback channels. These may include surveys, FGD, hot lines, suggestions boxes, open feedback etc.
Written and verbal communication in English is an added advantage.
Passionate about humanitarian work and assistance.
Reporting lines:
The MEAL Assistant will report to the M&E Officer on issues related to day to day activities. On technical issues related to Client Responsiveness the MEAL Assistant will be receive technical support by the CR Officer in Addis.
Time frame
The length of the posting is for one year initially but could be extended, contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluation and funding.
